(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – Oh the irony. Corrupt and incompetent New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has called for an election audit of the botched Democratic primary mayoral results which have been retracted because of some serious errors.
Suddenly de Blasio seems to be skeptical of the competency of election officials in NYC.
“Yet again, the fundamental structural flaws of the Board of Elections are on display,” de Blasio said in a statement. “There must be an immediate, complete recanvas of the BOE’s vote count and a clear explanation of what went wrong. The record number of voters who turned out this election deserve nothing less.”
What about the record number of voters who turned out and voted for President Trump in 2020? We doubt very much that he feels the same measures should be taken to audit the results of that election.
De Blasio said that “going forward there must be a complete structural rebuild of the board,” and claimed that he “once offered the BOE over $20 million to reform themselves” but the BOE refused “leaving legislative action as the next available recourse.”
He also asserted that he has come up with a plan himself to “remake” the Board of Elections in NYC.
De Blasio’s call for action comes after NYC’s BOE announced that they were retracting the results of the city’s Democratic primary for the mayoral race after it was discovered that the results included 135,000 test votes.

For their part, the Board of Elections claims that they conduct “rigorous and mandatory pre-qualification testing for every election,” and said that it was “determined that ballot images used for testing were not cleared from the Election Management System (EMS).”
Furthermore, when the results started to be recorded it became evident that “it included both test and election night results, producing approximately 135,000 additional records.”
The BOE says they will remove the test ballot images from the system and proceed with re-tabulating the ranked-choice voting results.
“The Board apologizes for the error and has taken immediate measures to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date results are reported,” the board said.
It truly is a cold day in hell when radical leftist NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio is calling for an election audit. The election process in New York City is so bad that even de Blasio is sounding sane.
While signs of potential trouble have been there since the city began to build a new ranked-choice voting system three years ago, it appears nothing was ever actually done to ensure election integrity in one of the most corrupt cities in the US.
Now, de Blasio, who is as far-left as they come, has actually done something sensible in calling for an audit.
