SECRET ANNEX: 70 Years Ago Today, Anne Frank And Her Family Were Forced Into Hiding From The Nazis Putting Jews Into Concentration Death Camps

Anne Frank and her family went into hiding on July 6, 1942: 79 years ago today. As Adolf Hitler and the Nazis began to take power, the Frank family moved from their home in Germany to live in Amsterdam, which was soon occupied by German forces.

79 years ago today, Anne Frank and the entire Frank family went into hiding from the Nazis, it was here that young Anne would write her famous diary that would tell the world of what had happened to them years later. The Holocaust happened, it murdered 6 million Jews and 6 million gentiles, Anne’s diary stands witness to this fact. If you’re a Christian who denies the fact of the Holocaust, you should be ashamed of yourself.

“Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.” Isaiah 48:10 (KJB)

The Bible says that the Jews, God’s chosen people, were chosen in the ‘furnace of affliction’, and that is a very true statement. The Jews are the most persecuted people in human history, and during the coming time of Jacob’s trouble, the Jews will be persecuted even more than they were in Hitler’s Germany. That’s a very sobering thought to say the least. Genesis 12:3 is still in effect, and if you want a blessing, bless the Jewish people, if you want to be cursed, then curse them and see what happens. Every, single nation that ever came against the Jew doesn’t even exist anymore, think about that. Whose side are you on?

Here’s another sobering thought, on the day Anne Frank went into hiding from Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, Israel didn’t exist and had yet to be regathered. Without the Holocaust, it is highly likely Israel would still remain scattered. It is an awesome and terrible thing when Bible prophecy begins to be fulfilled, we are living in that time right now.

On this day: Anne Frank and family went into hiding

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: On July 5, they received a letter that Anne’s older sister would be deported and possibly sent to a labor camp, like many Jews during the Holocaust. The next day, they went into hiding. The family — father Otto, mother Edith, older sister Margot and Anne — hid in an attic apartment behind Otto Frank’s business, where he produced a gelling substance used to make jam. Anne called this the “Secret Annex.”

They were soon joined by the van Pels family, the father a business associate of Otto. They were aided by several non-Jewish friends who brought food and supplies, including Miep Gies. Their hiding spot was found by the Gestapo on August 4, 1944, after two years of hiding, due to an anonymous tip. The family was separated and taken to concentration camps.

Anne Frank recorded the “Secret Annex” experience in her diary, which her father published in America after her death in 1952. It was titled “The Diary of a Young Girl.”
She received the diary for her thirteenth birthday on June 12, 1942, less than a month before they went into hiding, writing that she hoped to confide in it because she never had anyone to confide in. Her diary has been translated into about 70 languages and adapted for stage and screen. The Diary premiered on Broadway in 1955, and in 1956 won the Tony Award for best play and the Pulitzer Prize for best drama.
The “Secret Annex” was turned into the Anne Frank House, open for visitors. Anne Frank famously wrote: “I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are really good at heart.” READ MORE

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 15,860+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 150,000+ followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,900 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13 (KJV)
