CODE RED! House Dems Block Bill To Declassify Intel On Origins Of COVID-19

(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – House Democrats inexplicably shot down a bill Tuesday that would ultimately uncover the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic and give Americans the answers we deserve.

By a vote of 216 to 207, Democrats in the House banded together to block consideration of a bill that would require the Director of National Intelligence to declassify all information related to the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.

That would specifically include all information in regards to any role the Wuhan Institute of Virology may have played in the outbreak.

House Democrats are clearly not interested in transparency with the American people at all. What could be the motive to block such a bill other than to protect members of the Biden regime, such as Dr. Fauci?

The COVID-19 Origin Act was first introduced in the US Senate by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN). It passed unanimously in the Senate back in May with not one single Senator voting against.

While the US Senate managed to find common ground it appears that House Democrats are solely focused on playing party politics rather than doing the work of the American people.

The bill was brought to the House floor for consideration by Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) with Reps. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) and Darin LaHood (R-IL). The GOP Reps did their best to convey the importance of the bill before Democrats discriminately shot it down Tuesday night.

“The best disinfectant is sunlight and that’s what we can provide today,” Wenstrup explained of the COVID-19 Origin Act. “The bill first establishes that we must identify the precise origins of COVID-19 because it is critical for preventing a similar pandemic in the future.”

“I cannot stress enough that this bill is not controversial by any means,” Wenstrup continued. “In fact, it passed the Senate in May with unanimous consent — not one senator objected. Not Senators Ted Cruz or Rand Paul, not Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. If those four members can get on board with this bill, should not we be able to do the same?”

Rep. LaHood further explained that the bill would require the Director of National Intelligence to “declassify intelligence information related to any potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology” and the origins of the virus “in order to better prepare and avoid future pandemics.”

“The bottom line is Americans deserve a full accounting of the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.

The Democrats love lockdowns, however, and are not likely to take much action that could result in the prevention of future pandemics and lockdowns. They also don’t much care about the American people. That has become painfully obvious.

Interestingly, the Democrats are acting as if they are complicit in the covering up of the origins of the COVID-19 outbreak along with Beijing. Why else would they block a bill that, as Josh Hawley explained, would expose “Beijing’s attempts to cover up the origin of the pandemic?”

When Hawley introduced the Senate version of the COVID-19 Origin Act in April, he contended that “the world needs to know if this pandemic was the product of negligence at the Wuhan lab” but as it turns out, the Democrats are more concerned with running defense for Beijing and protecting their opportunity to subvert the American peoples’ freedoms and liberties in the future through mandates and lockdowns.

This move by House Dems truly reveals just how corrupt and power-hungry the left has become.
