(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – A brand new report from the folks over at Just The News has revealed that the National Institutes of Health deleted important information concerning COVID-19 genetic sequencing during the thick of the pandemic at the request of researchers located in Wuhan, China, a move that has stirred up quite a bit of controversy within science circles, according to a batch of emails that have been obtained by a nonpartisan whistleblower and government oversight group.
The emails (read them here) were obtained by the Empower Oversight organization and show a researcher from Wuhan University submitted virus sequence information to the NIH’s Sequence Read Archive back in March 2020, which is when the World Health Organization officially declared the spread of the coronavirus to be a pandemic and two months after the virus was allegedly first detected in the city of Wuhan.
The scientist then made another submission concerning the virus in June of 2020, according to email messages. Later on during that same day, he then asked the NIH to retract the submission he made, stating it was made in error.
The NIH then issued a response saying that it preferred to edit or replace submission rather than replace them.
Another few days passed and the researcher put in another request to pull out the genetic sequence from the NIH database, according to the emails.
A day later, the NIH agreed to the researcher’s request and then asked for clarification concerning whether or not another submission should be deleted.
“I had withdrawn everything,” an unnamed NIH official went on to say to the Wuhan researcher in an email.
“The emails were obtained after Empower Oversight sued the NIH under the Freedom of Information Act. You can read them here,” the report said.
“The documents also show an expert advised then-NIH Director Francis Collins and Dr. Anthony Fauci, who leads the agency’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, that COVID originated outside of the Wuhan food market, as the Chinese government has claimed,” Just The News reported.
Other email messages reveal that the NIH directed reporters in the media to more favorable coverage concerning the deletion.
“Off the record: we think this WaPo story does a good job characterizing the situation,” NIH’s Renate Myles stated in a message to a reporter at The Hill newspaper, going on to direct the journalist away from a New York Times story due to its ‘tone,’” the report continued.
“These documents raise several questions that need further investigation to answer fully,” according to a report put out by Empower Oversight, founded by a former top staffer who worked for Iowa GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley. “Congress should press the NIH for answers on why it is stonewalling Senate inquiries and dragging its feet on basic transparency through FOIA.”
The group then states that one of the most disconcerting elements in the emails is the evidence that shows the NIH has refused to take part in a transparent process to examine data on the deleted sequences.
“Most importantly, why has NIH refused to examine archival copies of deleted sequences in an open scientific process to determine whether any of that information might be able to shed light on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic?” the group went on to ask.
Steve Sherry, an official who works for the NIH, dismissed the argument.
“Although sequences are never fully deleted, according to the agency, Sherry told a researcher who asked for transparency, ‘As you know, when data sets are withdrawn from the database, that status does not permit use for further analyses,’” the Just the News report stated.
This is just more evidence to prove that the folks who led this whole pandemic were likely up to no good from the very beginning. It’s time that those who were involved in various cover ups of information be held accountable for not being transparent and honest about the event that caused the near destruction of our economy and our liberty.
