[A recent] Dr. J Show features Dr. Jay Richards, Ph.D., of The Heritage Foundation and author or editor of more than a dozen books.
Dr. Richards breaks down Florida’s recent medical board decision to no longer allow “gender-affirming care” to be paid for my Medicaid.
“This is a signal to doctors that they should not be giving 13-year-olds puberty blocking drugs and cross-sex hormones… It’s not because the Bible says you’re not supposed to, but because there’s no good evidence that this is helpful. In fact, there’s a lot of evidence that it’s actually harmful.”
Richards notes that most pediatricians don’t want to do these procedures, but they’re afraid to speak out. Thanks to this ruling, they’ll feel less social pressure.
“We’ve got this vocal minority of activists who feel empowered, and the vast majority of normal, well-meaning people are silent. And that’s why this [transgender craze] is happening.”
Learn how to slow the tide. For instance, attend and speak up at local school board meetings. “Schools typically hold rabid gender ideologues,” Richards says, “and that’s where a lot of this stuff is coming from, often behind parents’ backs.”
