Citing ‘Biology Not Ideology’, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Signs Bill Banning Trans Girls From Competing In Women’s Sporting Events

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law a ban on transgender girls from competing in girls’ and women’s sports at an event at a Christian school on the first day of Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ community.

The fact that this is even a discussion shows you the level of stupidity and depravity we have sunk to in America in 2021. The question is, should biological boys be allowed to compete against biological women? To quote DL Moody, “no, NO, a thousand times no!”. Why are we even debating this topic? Because the spirit of Antichrist has risen and is blinding the minds of people to believe a lie, consider it a little appetizer to the strong delusion God will release for those left behind after the Rapture of the Church takes places.

“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:11,12 (KJB)

Here in the free state of Florida, we are doing our level best to conduct ourselves with logic, intelligence and common sense, and because of that, we rightly understand that no amount of wizardry can change someone who is born from one gender into another gender. There are only two genders, and no, you don’t get to pick which one you become. Kudos to Ron DeSantis for his excellent governing of the free state of Florida. Don’t run for president, Ron, we need you here.

FROM THE ORLANDO SENTINEL: “We believe in the state of Florida protecting the fairness and integrity of women’s athletics,” said DeSantis, who was on stage Tuesday with several teenage girl athletes at the Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville. “… I can tell you that in Florida, girls are going to play girls’ sports and boys are going to play boys’ sports.”

Advocates say the law prevents an unfair advantage in competitions, but critics slam it as being discriminatory and unnecessary. Democratic lawmakers argued that high school and college sports in Florida haven’t had an issue with transgender girls and women in competition and warned that some transgender girls already playing sports would be kicked off their teams. The deadline for the bill to be signed into law was June 12, the five-year anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shootings in Orlando that killed 49 people at a gay nightclub.

“Appalling,” wrote state Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith, D-Orlando, on Twitter. “First day of LGBTQ Pride Month and Gov. Ron DeSantis signs SB 1028 which bans trans kids from school sports. FHSAA has allowed trans kids to participate in FL since 2013 with ZERO problems. This fuels transphobia and puts vulnerable kids at risk for no good reason.”

In response to a question about the message being sent by signing the bill at the beginning of Pride Month, DeSantis said, “It’s not a message to anything other than saying we’re going to protect fairness and women’s sports.”

The governor dismissed warnings from companies and the NCAA that it might pull events and sports championships from the state because of the bill.

“Some of these organizations say they’re not going to hold events if you do this, just let me say very clearly, in Florida, we’re going to do what’s right, will stand up to corporations, they are not going to dictate the policies in this state,” DeSantis said. “We will stand up to groups like the NCAA, who think that they should be able to dictate the policies in different states.”

The NCAA pulled events from North Carolina in 2017 over a similar bill, and the NCAA Board of Governors issued a statement criticizing transgender bans in April. An NCAA spokesperson pointed to that statement when asked Tuesday about their response to the bill signing.

“The NCAA has a long-standing policy that provides a more inclusive path for transgender participation in college sports,” the board wrote. “… Our clear expectation as the Association’s top governing body is that all student-athletes will be treated with dignity and respect. We are committed to ensuring that NCAA championships are open for all who earn the right to compete in them.”

The bill’s sponsor, Sen. Kelli Stargel, R-Lakeland, said at the event, “We all know that men are stronger than women.”

“I’ve always heard as a kid, ‘You run like a girl,’” she said of a video played at the event of Selina Soule, a Connecticut track athlete who sued over transgender girls competing in high school girls’ sports. “And when you’re looking at that video, it’s evident the woman, the transgender woman who competed, or self-identified woman, ran very differently than the others in the competition. It’s physiologically different. Men are stronger, they have bigger lung capacity, stronger muscles.” READ MORE

Now The End Begins is your front line defense against the rising tide of darkness in the last Days before the Rapture of the Church

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 15,860+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 150,000+ followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,900 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13 (KJV)
