(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – An attorney representing one of the defendants charged with entering the US Capitol building on Jan. 6 bravely made an appearance on CNN’s “New Day” Tuesday, with host John Avlon.
During the interview, attorney Joseph McBride was asked by Avlon for comment in regards to an eight month prison sentence given to Paul Hodgkins for walking into the Capitol building and daring to sit at Nancy Pelosi’s desk.
The biased CNN host appeared to be in favor of Hodgkins getting more prison time but McBride didn’t seem interested in giving his opinion on the prison sentence he received.
Instead, McBride explained that there are three different kinds of defendants involved in the Jan. 6 fallout, saying, “there are people who showed up to attack the Capitol, there are people who showed up to protest, and there are people who showed up to protest that got involved with the greater events of that day. And it is very important not to lump everybody in, not to define every protester that showed up that day as an insurrectionist — which, by the way, no one has been charged with.”
Avlon then indignantly questioned McBride about comments he had made comparing the conditions the Jan. 6 suspects are being held in and Nazi gulags.
McBride responded, insisting that “People are being tortured. Tortured!” before asking Avlon, “Are you OK with people being tortured five miles from the White House?”
Avlon smugly responded, saying that McBride’s claim was “an extraordinary statement that would seem to be utterly un-based in fact.”
McBride shot back yelling “Torture is never OK! TORTURE! TORTURE! TORTURE! TORTURE! TORTURE!” which resulted in Avlon ending the interview.
“Keep yelling torture. We’ll stick with the facts,” he said.
“The facts are torture!” the attorney yelled back before Avlon cut his video feed. Avlon also didn’t waste the opportunity to accuse McBride and his clients of still believing the “big lie” about the election.
Interestingly, the left spent 4 years comparing President Trump to Adolf Hitler and claiming his supporters were Nazis. Apparently, it’s OK for radical leftists to draw these baseless and outrageous comparisons and call Trump “literally Hitler,” while scoffing at and turning their noses up to any conservative making a legitimate allegation of political persecution and “torture.”
While the left’s claims that Trump was “Hitler” were obviously completely ridiculous, absurd and nonsensical, this isn’t the first time claims of torture have been brought up in regards to the Capitol “rioters” who have been held for months with no bail and no trial.
There have been numerous allegations that the political prisoners have been held in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day and have also been subject to beatings, threats and verbal abuse by guards.
InfoWars reports, one attorney described his client Ryan Samsel’s face as looking “like a tomato that was stomped on,” after a beating by correctional officers that left him “blind in one eye, [with] a skull fracture and detached retina.”
Does that sound like humane treatment? Certainly does sound like torture!
What is happening to those who have been arrested for their involvement in the Jan. 6 incident is nothing short of immoral and anti-American. These individuals are being treated like domestic terrorists and white supremacists all for the “crime” of entering the Capitol building on Jan. 6.
The “insurrection” truly is the “big lie.”
