(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – There are a lot of folks who are in the conservative movement who were once solid individuals to listen to and be educated by that are quickly making it known that they aren’t exactly who they led us all to believe they were.
According to a report from WND, two contributors with Fox News decided to call it quits this week, citing a new documentary put together by fellow host Tucker Carlson concerning the January 6 riot at the Capitol building as the reason why they are leaving.
However, an update to the story reveals that Fox News had no plans of renewing the contracts for Jonah Goldberg, author of Liberal Fascism, and Steve Hayes, both announcing their departure through a blog posted up on The Dispatch over the weekend.
Carlson delivered a statement to The New York Times concerning the departure of the two from the network saying it was “great news.”
“Our viewers will be grateful,” he added.
Ouch.
However, he’s probably right about that. Lots of people have become disillusioned with Republicans In Name Only (RINO) like Goldberg and Hayes who are associated with brands like National Review that have been critical of the solid leadership of President Donald Trump and have criticized his supporters as well, alienating their own base.

“Carlson’s documentary ‘Patriot Purge’ was the catalyst for leaving Fox after 12 years, Goldberg and Hayes said in the post,’ the WND report said.
“The special—which ran on Fox’s subscription streaming service earlier this month and was promoted on Fox News—is presented in the style of an exposé, a hard-hitting piece of investigative journalism. In reality, it is a collection of incoherent conspiracy-mongering, riddled with factual inaccuracies, half-truths, deceptive imagery, and damning omissions. And its message is clear: The U.S. government is targeting patriotic Americans in the same manner —and with the same tools—that it used to target al Qaeda,” Goldberg and Hayes both wrote in the post.
“This is not happening. And we think it’s dangerous to pretend it is. If a person with such a platform shares such misinformation loud enough and long enough, there are Americans who will believe—and act upon—it,” they added.
Their post went on to say that Fox News still does some “real reporting,” however, they went on to add that the “voices of the responsible are being drowned out by the irresponsible.”
“With a dig at former President Donald Trump, however, Goldberg and Hayes bemoaned what they claim was a change for the worse at Fox News,” the report continued.
“Over the past five years, some of Fox’s top opinion hosts amplified the false claims and bizarre narratives of Donald Trump or offered up their own in his service. In this sense, the release of Patriot Purge wasn’t an isolated incident, it was merely the most egregious example of a longstanding trend. Patriot Purge creates an alternative history of January 6, contradicted not just by common sense, not just by the testimony and on-the-record statements of many participants, but by the reporting of the news division of Fox News itself,” they stated in their piece.
During a recent interview with NPR, Goldberg stated that the Carlson documentary was incendiary.
“It’s basically saying that the Biden regime is coming after half the country and this is the War on Terror 2.0,” Goldberg went on to say. “It traffics in all manner of innuendo and conspiracy theories that I think legitimately could lead to violence. That for me, and for Steve, was the last straw.”
He then said that Fox News is no longer the organization that it wanted to be.
“Whether it’s ‘Patriot Purge’ or anti-vax stuff, I don’t want it in my name, and I want to call it out and criticize it,” Goldberg said to the folks over at The New York Times.
“I don’t want to feel like I am betraying a trust that I had by being a Fox News contributor. And I also don’t want to be accused of not really pulling the punches. And then this was just an untenable tension for me,” he continued.

Carlson responded to all this by saying that both Goldberg and Hayes are out of touch with the current times.
“These are two of the only people in the world who still pretend the Iraq war was a good idea,” Carlson said in a written comment to NPR. “No one wants to watch commentary that stupid.”
Again, ouch.
Carlson is right on the money. The majority of the United States feel like the assault that happened during the January 6th riot was stoked by Democrats and members of the Black Lives Matter movement and Antifa.
That’s not to condone action done by the people there that day, but there are a lot of facts missing from the story and it seems like those pieces are being hidden by the Biden administration or the Capitol Police.
No matter what the truth is, we want to know it and understand it. And it’s no secret that people are being railroaded in this incident.
Carlson is trying to get to the facts of what happened that day and expose the truth to the world. It’s important that the real story be told.
