Tensions Mount In South China Sea As Chinese Communist Party Official Threatens To ‘Shoot Down’ Nancy Pelosi’s Plane If It Flies To Taiwan

As tensions mount over US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s potential trip to Taiwan, the Chinese navy has been monitoring the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier’s activities in the South China Sea.

A Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece said on Friday that it could shoot down Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s plane if she makes a stop in Taiwan, a move he said is tantamount to an “invasion” of the island. If US fighter jets escort Pelosi’s plane into Taiwan, it is invasion. The PLA has the right to forcibly dispel Pelosi’s plane and the US fighter jets, including firing warning shots and making tactical movement of obstruction. If ineffective, then shoot them down. That message on Twitter has since been removed.

“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” Revelation 16:12 (KJB)

Personally, I do not see China ‘shooting down’ Nancy Pelosi’s plane should she actually take her proposed trip to Taiwan, but that’s not to say that China will just sit idly by and watch it happen. China has no intention of letting go of Taiwan, and just as Russia invaded Ukraine, the possibility of China mobilizing in Taiwan is fairly high. One thing’s for sure, though, the ‘big three’ in end times prophecy – China, Russia and Iran – have all been quite active, and there is no reason to think that won’t continue and escalate. As far as China is concerned, I think Nancy Pelosi is using this proposed trip to Taiwan to attempt to jumpstart a failing Democrat Party sagging under the dead weight of Biden’s  impotent pretend presidency.

Pelosi Taiwan visit: region ‘tense’ as Chinese navy watches US warships, holds drills in South China Sea

FROM MSN: The nuclear-powered warship was cruising about 185km (115 miles) from the contested Fiery Cross Reef in the Spratlys chain on Thursday, according to publicly available satellite images. Two other vessels – identified by Vietnam-based maritime observer Duan Dang as a Chinese Type 052D destroyer and a Type 054A frigate – were seen 27km and 23km away.

The Reagan and its carrier strike group left Singapore on Monday and headed for the South China Sea, as Pelosi’s trip – which she has not confirmed – causes a ruckus, with Beijing warning that the United States will face “forceful measures” if it goes ahead.

“Preparing for war!” This short social media post by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) 80th Group Army generated over 300,000 thumbs-up in 12 hours on Friday, amid high morale among Chinese soldiers ahead of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the PLA and escalating tensions across the Taiwan Straits.

Beijing sees it as a move that would “seriously violate China’s sovereignty” – it regards Taiwan as part of its territory and has vowed to bring the self-ruled island under its control. The People’s Liberation Army has called on the US to commit to its pledge not to support independence in Taiwan.

Pelosi, despite being an American lawmaker and not an official of the executive branch which spearheads foreign policy, has been repeatedly described by Beijing as the “No 3 of the US government”.

The US aircraft carrier strike group – which includes the USNS Tippecanoe replenishment oiler and the USS Antietam cruiser – has been travelling northeast and if the vessels continue in that direction they will reach the Taiwan Strait.

It comes as the PLA Navy is conducting routine military drills off its southern coast near Guangdong, following exercises in nearby Hainan province.

An area in the South China Sea about 89km from Macau will be closed to ships on Saturday for military exercises, according to a notice issued by China’s Maritime Safety Administration. The Gulf of Tonkin off southwestern Guangdong will also be a no-go zone on Tuesday and Wednesday while gunnery exercises are carried out. READ MORE

Chinese officials have threatened military action if U.S. house speaker Nancy Pelosi visits Taiwan during a congressional trip to Asia. China claims the self-ruling island of Taiwan is a part of its territory. Christina Ruffini has more.

Now The End Begins is your front line defense against the rising tide of darkness in the last Days before the Rapture of the Church

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 15,860+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 150,000+ followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,900 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.
