(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – Despite the fact that the Republican National Committee (RNC) has outright refused to stand with President Trump and take up the fight to expose the stolen 2020 election, it looks like they’re now taking action to bring about an end to the circus that was the presidential debates during both the 2016 and 2020 election cycles.
If you watched any of the presidential debates, you know exactly what we’re talking about. The moderators, even the ones from Fox News, were always biased against Trump and made no effort to hide that.
The RNC, led by Chair Ronna McDaniel, is now taking action against the organization that has hosted and produced the presidential and vice presidential general election debates for more than thirty years.
A letter written by McDaniel to the supposedly nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) warns that the RNC may advise the next GOP presidential nominee to skip the debates altogether unless significant changes are made.
Despite McDaniel finally stepping to the plate and taking issue with the Commission and how it operates, President Trump targeted the commission multiple times last summer and fall over their format and biased moderators during the debates. One of the three scheduled presidential debates between Trump and Biden was even canceled.
“The CPD’s repeated missteps and the partisan actions of its Board Members make clear that the organization no longer provides the fair and impartial forum for presidential debates which the law requires and the American people deserve,” McDaniel asserted in her letter.
“Unless the CPD adopts significant reforms to ensure that it better fulfills this important, nonpartisan function, the RNC will have no choice but to advise its future nominees against participating in CPD-hosted debates,” she warned.
McDaniel also said that she sincerely hopes that the CPD will “accept this criticism” and work to “correct its mistakes.” She again made clear that the RNC will “look for other options for its candidates to debate the issues before the American people in a neutral and nonpartisan forum.”
In speaking to Fox News, McDaniel noted some of the issues the RNC was taking with the CPD from the 2020 election cycle, including “the CPD failing in 2020 to host a single debate before the start of early voting, making unilateral changes without informing the candidates, and allowing members of its Board of Directors to make biased and partisan statements against the Republican nominee.”
McDaniel said that she’ll need some “assurances” that the CPD intends to make “meaningful reforms” to their process to “restore the faith and legitimacy it has lost.”
She has asked the Commission to respond to her request by July.
Wouldn’t it have been great if McDaniel, who President Trump supported to the extent that she rose to her position, had been supporting him like this while he was in office? She all but turned his back on him and left him to fend for himself with little to no support from the RNC.
Now that the RNC has taken action to correct the obviously biased debates that had been going on in 2016 and 2020, when will they admit that the 2020 election was fraudulent and rigged?
When will they speak up on behalf of the 74 million Americans who voted for President Trump and have been completely disenfranchised thanks to the open corruption and fraud carried out by the left?
We aren’t holding our breath.
