Asbury University President Kevin J. Brown Says It’s Time To ‘End The Revival’ As It Has Caused Many To Feel ‘Unsettled And Alienated’ On Campus, Huh?

As quickly as it started, the Asbury University revival is scheduled to end at 2:00 PM this afternoon, is that how the Holy Spirit operates?

From the start, the revival at Asbury University had all the hallmarks of a work started in the flesh, and the way it’s ending, by the decree of the school’s president Kevin Brown, proves that to be true. If anyone over there would have bothered to open up their Bibles, they would have seen that biblical revival is started by the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, and continues until He brings it to a close. Why, the very idea of saying ‘the revival will come to a close at 2:00 PM today’ is proof it’s man-made! The meetings held by evangelists DL Moody and Billy Sunday would last for months at a time, and when they went to a new city, revival broke out there as well with thousands of testimonies of lost people getting saved. The Asbury ‘revival’ did not seem to have that. Read the full statement on the closing of the revival from Asbury president Kevin Brown by clicking here.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:” John 16:7,8 (KJB)

School officials at Asbury started searching the bags of the people attending the revival for weapons, a sure sign the Holy Spirit was not orchestrating things. The gospel was not preached, and the sins people were being ‘convicted of’ were things like the sins of sarcasm, rudeness, and treating other gender identifying people with disrespect. No one seemed to repent of their LGBTQIA+ leanings, no one seemed to repent of things like drinking alcohol, listening to the Devil’s music, fornication or anything like that. And I am still waiting to hear of even half a dozen testimonies of lost people getting saved, which is the oddest thing of all for a revival. In conclusion, let me just that that this revival started the day after Satan was invoked on the Grammy’s, which leads me to believe that this weak, fake, no-gospel Laodicean ‘revival’ was his doing. I know that may sound harsh to some of you, but check me out, open up your King James Bible to see how the Holy Spirit operates in the Church Age, and you tell me if the Asbury revival was the real deal, or Satan’s counterfeit.

Nonstop revival worship service at Asbury University set to end after attracting thousands

FROM MSN: Thousands have traveled to the university’s chapel to take part what is being called the “Asbury Revival,” which began after morning service on Feb. 8. Word quickly spread after worshipers shared videos on TikTok and Instagram showing people praying with their hands extended above them, holding hands with strangers and crying to worship music.

The revival at the Christian school, which has fewer than 1,700 students and is located about a half-hour outside Lexington, drew national and international attention, attracting groups of students from at least 22 colleges and universities to its campus, and even gaining the support of former vice president Mike Pence, who tweeted his support of the movement.

But the crowds became too much, the university said.

“Students have not only had to juggle various campus commitments … but also the throngs of people who have entered the dimensions of their space,” Kevin J. Brown, the university’s president, said in a statement. “For some, this has created a sense of being unsettled and even alienation from their campus community.”

Public worshiping will continue in the afternoons through Wednesday.

“Along with a new schedule, we are working with several groups to increase security, prayer and ministry support, event management, and overall logistical planning,” Brown said.

The school will no longer live-stream or broadcast anything from indoors and will search bags before people enter Hughes Memorial Auditorium, which was named for John Wesley Hughes, the founder of Asbury, and has a capacity of nearly 1,500. READ MORE

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. We have a Gospel Billboard program. We are now broadcasting Bible studies, Podcasts and a Sunday Service 5 times a week, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. The Lord has given us an open door with a tremendous ‘course’ for us to fulfill that will create an excellent experience at the Judgement Seat of Christ. Please pray for our efforts, and if the Lord leads you to donate, be as generous as possible. The war is REAL, the battle HOT and the time is SHORTTO THE FIGHT!!!
