(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – A speech that President Donald Trump was all set to give at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park was cancelled on Tuesday after the park commissioners stated that no partisan events are allowed to take place at the park.
According to a report from Gateway Pundit, the commissioner made the announcement just five days out from the speech.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall was asked for his opinion on the event over a month ago. Marshall wrote a response to this inquiry on June 16. The letter to Marshall from the commission was not received until June 14.
Bill Tunnell, the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park Commissioner, stated he decided to cancel the event once he found out that Donald Trump would be the guest speaker.
“After the request was made, then there was contact with the Republican Party, they contacted us and then it became apparent that it was going to be a partisan political event, rather than just a patriotic event planned for that evening,” Tunnell said.
“Tunnell says commissioners sought an opinion from the attorney general’s office in late May. NBC 15 News obtained Attorney General Steve Marshall’s June 16th response, which notes their letter was dated May 26th , postmarked June 11th and received June 14th. ‘Due to the imminence of the date of the proposed event, my Opinions Division is unable to timely respond with an official position,’ Marshall wrote. But he went on in the letter to cite case law that says parks may be used for political events provided access is ‘available for all political parties and candidates on an equal basis,’” a report from NBC 15 said.
Strangely, the park has been used to hold political events in the past. It seems the main reason these folks shutdown this event is because of Trump’s involvement. Is this another attempt to silence the voices of Trump supporters? Certainly seems that way.
The president recently held a very successful rally in Wellington, Ohio, proving that his influence over the average American voter is still in full swing, which might be why the event in Alabama was cancelled. The left does not want his base to get even more fired up to restore America to greatness. After all, they won’t be able to fundamentally transform the country if that happens.
At the Wellington rally, folks shouted “Four More Years!” Along with stuff like “CNN sucks!” and on it goes.

Not only was the crowd in person at the rally lively, but the folks who watched it at home were fired up too. A whopping 300,000 people watched the event on Right Side Broadcasting, which is on YouTube, and on Rumble.
Again, it’s clear the reason the Alabama event was cancelled due to folks in the state government feeling uncomfortable with Trump’s presence. They desire to appease their masters on the left.
