We live in the age of the great ‘digital delete’ where with a click of a button a PDF file disappears forever, it’s not like that with books. Books are something permanent, they become a treasure part of your home and your life.
When my mom wanted to send me to private Catholic high school, which my parents couldn’t really afford, she got a job as a librarian’s assistant to pay for my tuition. Within a few years, she was the head librarian and did an awesome job because she absolutely loved reading, loved books and loved giving others that same passion. One of the people she gave that passion to me was me, I was a book nerd from a very early age. When I got saved years later as an adult, one of the first things I did was starting building my library.
“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” John 21:25 (KJB)
The very first commentary book I ever bought was Clarence Larkin’s Dispensational Truth, and I will never forget how thrilling it was to me to see it still was printed in the original typeset from 1918, exciting stuff! Told you I was, and still am, a book nerd. I bought it right around the time that everyone was buying a personal computer, and though reading stuff from a PDF file has its place, nothing takes the place of having a book to hold in your hand and connect with it. God could have written His Book in any media, but He chose a printed book, so there was must be a reason for it.
I have found over the years that having the books always before my eyes is a great reminder to pick one up and read it again, making little notes and markings in sections that really speak to me. We live in the age of the great ‘digital delete’ where with a click of a button a PDF file disappears forever, it’s not like that with books. Books are something permanent, they become a treasure part of your home and your life. Every Christian who calls themselves a bible believer needs to have a well-stocked home library of study tools and commentaries to help in your daily walk with the Lord.
My mom went home to be with the Lord in 1997, but she would be well pleased if she could see that all these years later I have retained my love for books and the printed word. I am not adding titles to our bookstore simply to be able to sell more books, no sir. But every title I do add has been well thought out, and designed on levels large and small to kindle a fervent desire within you to ‘study to show thyself approved unto God’ as the Bible tells us to do. Please visit the bookstore often to not only support NTEB, but to get books to add to your library.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJB)

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.
But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 15,860+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 150,000+ followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,900 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13 (KJV)
