The Central Florida Reception Center In Orlando is a regional inmate processing center that needs Bibles for over 1,000 inmates
Everyone knows Orlando as being the home of the ‘happiest place on Earth’, Walt Disney World, a place that welcomes and receives millions of guests per year who are thrilled to be there. Just a short drive away is another type of reception center, one that is not so happy, and they receive thousands of guests each year. I am talking about the Central Florida Reception Center whose primary mission is the reception and orientation of inmates newly sanctioned to the state correctional system. Today, they reached out to us for help with Bibles.
“That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.” Isaiah 49:9 (KJB)
Chaplain John wrote to us today and said “I am chaplain in a reception center for inmates in central Florida. although there are inmates who are here for the duration of their sentences. I, therefore, give out a great deal of Bibles and other publications. I would greatly appreciate anything you can send. We currently have about 1,000 inmates who need Bibles. Thank you!” The interesting thing about this place is that it has a lot of inmates who come in through the doors, kept for a short time, and then sent to serve their sentences in other locations. So we have a wonderful opportunity to send out Bibles in Orlando that will spread out all across the country. What a blessing that is! We need your help to do it.
