The Cup Of Porridge Program In Uganda Is Expanding Rapidly As Many More Children Are Coming To Be Fed And Hear The Gospel Preached In Their Churches

The Cup of Porridge program we fund has grown past the original 1,100 children, and I would love to expand what the Lord has us doing there in Uganda.

Our missionary in Uganda, Irad Biryomumesho who heads up the Good Child Missions there, wrote excitedly to me this morning with an update. Originally slated to feed around 1,100 children weekly with a cup of porridge before Sunday church, that number has risen to 1,306, and expected to hit 2,000 by Christmas day. Irad wants to give those kids a real Christmas dinner, not just porridge, and I want us to help him to do it.

“He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.” John 21:16 (KJB)

Look at that photo of those precious Ugandan kids hold up signs to encourage us to stay in the fight, to labour for just one more soul. My eyes filled with tears when Irad sent it to me through Messenger earlier. Do you know who the poorest man in the world is? Elon Musk, because all he has is money. He has no Saviour, no salvation, no forgiveness for his sins, he has nothing of eternal value. Any one of those kids in the photo is richer than he is, by a lot, and NTEB is helping all of them to be able to attend church with a full stomach.

Please pray about donating to our efforts to continue feed these thousands of children with a cup of porridge every Sunday, and to put a real meal on their table this Christmas. Only eternity will reveal just how many of these kids get saved because they were fed which enabled them to attend church to hear the gospel preached. This is the business I want to be in, the saving of souls, not the building of earthly empires. I want to increase what we are doing in Uganda, and that can only happen with your prayers and your generous financial support. Thank you all so very much…TO THE FIGHT!!!
