Operation Africa! Delivers Mattresses And Blankets To 84 Orphan Children In Kenya, Replacing Cardboard On Concrete With A Clean And Comfortable Place To Sleep Tonight

Earlier today  at Glory Fellowship Orphanage in Kenya, what began as a burden, a prayer and a fundraising appeal became something these children could finally reach out and touch. The mattresses arrived. The blankets arrived. And because the people of God responded, 84 orphan children who had been sleeping on cardboard laid over a concrete floor now have a clean, soft place to rest. Look closely at the photograph. Those children are not standing around a promise of help that may come someday. The help is there, lined up across the orphanage grounds, still wrapped in protective plastic, ready to be carried inside and put to use. But first things first, they’re spraying the rooms for bedbugs.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27 (KJB)

This is what Operation Africa! is all about. It is King James Bibles placed into waiting hands, clean water flowing where there was none, medicine reaching hurting children, and now mattresses and blankets for orphans who up to this point had been sleeping on cardboard and concrete. This is Bible-believing Christianity with its sleeves rolled up. To every NTEB’er who prayed, donated and shared the appeal, this is the fruit of your giving.

The Lord took many individual gifts and transformed them into 45 mattresses, 45 blankets and a better night’s sleep for 84 precious children.
