(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – The federal government is still holding political prisoners from Jan. 6 in Washington DC and the conditions and their treatment is abysmal.
Marine veteran Ryan Nichols, from Texas, is facing charges for participating in the Jan. 6 riot and has been in custody, currently at the DC Department of Corrections, since his arrest on Jan. 18.
Nichols, who was honorably discharged from the Marines, spoke to Newsmax’s Greg Kelly from the DC prison about the horrible treatment and living conditions.
“I went through 5 jails within 50 days before finally being locked in solitary confinement for 23-30 hours a day in Washington, D.C. on March 9. We now are allowed 5.5 hours out of our cell each day,” he explained.
He went on to list a number of things he is not allowed to do or have access to while locked up, many because he will not submit and get the COVID shots. Nichols says that only inmates who receive the vaccine are allowed to get haircuts and shave among other basic grooming necessities.
He further told Kelly that they are forced to eat baloney sandwiches for dinner at least four times a week and the other three dinners are either peanut butter or turkey sandwiches.
He explained that if the Jan. 6 prisoners speak with their attorneys face to face they have to go into quarantine for two weeks and they are not allowed any video visits or in-person visits with their families unless everyone is fully vaccinated.
The list of vaccine-contingent activities and privileges went on and on.

“And this is just to name a few things – I could go on. My family has been extremely impacted by all of this. My children are devastated that daddy was suddenly yanked out of their lives without any notice at all. My youngest, who just turned 5, tells me he ‘doesn’t even remember what I look like,’ and wants to know ‘am I ever coming home?’” Nichols recounted.
Stories of inhumane treatment of Jan. 6 political prisoners have been circulating for months and Nichols has confirmed now that they are true. It is completely unbelievable that there are men and women being treated this way all for the crime of showing up in Washington DC to take part in their Constitutional right to protest.
A district court judge recently found the director of the DC jail and the warden in contempt of court for failing to provide adequate medical care for one inmate who has cancer and was also suffering from a broken wrist.
The DC jail sounds like hell on earth and Nichols even referred to it as “DC Gitmo.”
Calling the delay of treatment for the defendant, Christopher Worrell, “incompetent” and “inexcusable,” Judge Royce C. Lamberth of Federal District Court in Washington announced he would also refer the case to the Justice Department for a potential investigation into whether Worrell’s civil rights had been violated.
“Does no one care?” Judge Lamberth asked the jail officials and their attorneys, describing their incompetent handling of Worrell’s treatment as “more than inept.”
It doesn’t sound as though anyone working in the DC jail does care about the Jan. 6 inmates or any other inmates for that matter. The conditions sound abhorrent but sadly the Biden regime is unlikely to do a darn thing about it.
