(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – What they say is true, when businesses “go woke” they “go broke” and we can only hope that’s the case for Hilda and Jesse, a San Francisco restaurant that recently refused to serve on-duty police officers.
One of the co-owners of the restaurant, woke leftist Rachel Sillcocks, has been busy defending their decision to ban police officers from their “space,” claiming that it’s because of their guns not because of anti-police sentiment.
On Friday, Sillcocks, chef and co-owner of Hilda and Jesse, personally asked three on-duty police officers who were sat at a table by restaurant staff, to leave because their guns were making them “uncomfortable.”
“It’s not about the fact that we are anti-police,” she said in an interview with ABC7 News. “It is about the fact that we do not allow weapons in our restaurant. We were uncomfortable, and we asked them to leave. It has nothing to do that they were officers. It has everything to do that they were carrying guns.”
“𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗴𝘂𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁.”
I just spoke exclusively to one owner of Hilda & Jesse.

“We understand how much the police support and protect the community,” she added. “We want to again reiterate the fact that this is about guns being in our space, and we don’t allow it.”
How woke.
Sounds like discrimination to us. San Francisco Police Chief William Scott, however, was careful not to offend the restaurant owners in his statement regarding the blatant disrespect.
“The San Francisco Police Department stands for safety with respect, even when it means respecting wishes that our officers and I find discouraging and personally disappointing,” Scott said.
“I believe the vast majority of San Franciscans welcome their police officers, who deserve to know that they are appreciated for the difficult job we ask them to do – in their uniforms – to keep our neighborhoods and businesses safe.”

Scott missed an opportunity to have his officers’ backs and take a stand against this kind of disgusting treatment, instead he opted to tiptoe around it and somehow managed to support the restaurant while feebly condemning it.
The restaurant now has a 1.2 star rating on Google. Looks like the community has spoken.
Go woke, go broke.
Meanwhile, officers in San Fran have a really tough job, it’s a wonder anyone still signs up to do it. Their hands have been completely tied by woke bureaucrats and politicians who value the rights of criminals over the safety and protection of the community.
I am completely devastated by this news – this Walgreens is less than a mile from seven schools and has been a staple for seniors, families and children for decades. This closure will significantly impact this community.

The city looks like a war zone with “smash and grab” criminals on a rampage. Stores have been forced to board up their windows and doors in an attempt to protect their property and merchandise because the police can’t really do much thanks to the progressives calling the shots.
Just weeks before Christmas, stores in San Francisco are forced to look like a Black Lives Matter riot is just around the corner. This is just daily life in the Golden Gate City.
This is what downtown San Francisco looks like right now.
