(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – Not only are members of the GOP launching an all-out assault on Joe Biden for his administration’s decision to bring Title 42’s provisions along the southern border to an end without having any sort of strategy in place to control the border crisis, but it seems some Democrats aren’t too happy about it either.
According to The Western Journal, three Republican-run states made an announcement on Monday that they will be filing lawsuits against the administration over the decision it reached to end the imposition of the public health order known as Title 42, which allowed for the summary expulsion of illegal aliens without needing to hear their asylum cases because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“The Biden administration had kept the Trump-era policy, put into place at the beginning of the coronavirus crisis in March 2020, mostly intact. Now, the restriction will be ending in May if legal challenges aren’t successful,” the report said.
“However, some Senate Democrats are going after the president now, too — and that could be a bigger threat than anything the Republicans throw at the White House,” the report continued.
As Zachary Evans pointed out in a piece over at National Review, several prominent centrist Democrats have expressed concerns over the decision to toss out Title 42 as folks with the Border Patrol grow more anxious about the number of illegals continuing to cross the border.
Back in February, there were over 164,000 apprehensions, which is a massive step up from the 101,000 number a year ago.
Sen. Joe Manchin, a Democrat from West Virginia, went on to call the decision “frightening.”
“We are already facing an unprecedented increase in migrants this year, and that will only get worse if the Administration ends the Title 42 policy. We are nowhere near prepared to deal with that influx,” Manchin went on to say in a Friday statement, according to The Hill.
“Until we have comprehensive, bipartisan immigration reform that commits to securing our borders and providing a pathway to citizenship for qualified immigrants, Title 42 must stay in place,” the senator continued.
Both of the Democratic senators from the state of Arizona — Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema — criticized the administration’s move as well.
Kelly, who is currently up for re-election, called it the “wrong decision.”
“It’s unacceptable to end Title 42 without a plan and coordination in place to ensure a secure, orderly, and humane process at the border,” he said in a statement that was given to Fox News.
Sinema, according to the folks over at Fox, issued a separate statement where she said that, “[p]rematurely ending Title 42 without a comprehensive, workable plan would put at risk the health and safety of Arizona communities. Today’s decision to announce an end to Title 42 … shows a lack of understanding about the crisis at our border.”
Sen. Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire stated in a tweet that the decision “will likely lead to a migrant surge that the administration does not appear to be ready for. I’ll keep pushing the administration to strengthen border security & look forward to hearing directly from border agents during my upcoming trip to the border.”

“Meanwhile, a fifth Democratic critic of the Biden plan, Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia, told CNN last week he ‘would be very reluctant for the administration to end this Trump policy until we had a real plan in place. I think we are a generous country, but we have to be a country of rule of law,’” the WJ report stated.
“Have you heard of any plan like that?” CNN’s Alisyn Camerota went on to ask.
“I have not,” he replied.

“The fact that the Biden administration doesn’t have the support of all of its senators is pretty damning, particularly when you consider all of them save Manchin come from swing states — where a hot-button issue like illegal immigration issue could easily tip a close election,” the report claimed.
“However, Mark Warner isn’t from a border state and he doesn’t have to worry about re-election until 2026. He’s not usually one of the individuals who gets thrown into the mix whenever “moderate Democrats” start shiving the Biden administration, which should give one an idea of how bad the border crisis is,” the report pointed out.
Let’s be honest. Biden doesn’t want to fix the border crisis. He wants more and more illegal aliens to flood into the country because the Democratic Party wants to transform them into lifelong voters in order to ensure they keep winning elections.
These folks are, sadly, nothing more than political pawns for the left.
