It is not that our estimation of Jesus Christ is too much, it is that your estimation of Jesus Christ is far too little, too weak, pusillanimous you might say. Oneness, modalism, lions and tigers and bears, oh my!!
Recently, our exalted view of Jesus Christ has come under fire and our beliefs labelled with such terms as Oneness Pentecostalism and modalism by benchwarming Laodiceans who spend more time arguing amongst themselves than they do reading and believing their King James Bibles. So because of this, we have decided to update our Statement of Faith to help out our opposition by giving them more information with which to attack us, because why not? You’re welcome.
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:8-10 (KJB)
When I read my King James Bible, want to know what I see? I see Jesus from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, because in the volume of the Book it is written of Him. Where do I get that radical idea from? From David in Psalm 40:7 (KJB), and from Paul in Hebrews 10:7 (KJB). When I read my King James Bible, I see the Father, who is not Jesus, and I see the Holy Spirit, who is not Jesus, all coming together in the body of a person who is Jesus. What’s that you say? Is this “heresy, heresy?!?” No, it’s Bible doctrine. It only sounds like heresy to you because you spend more time on Facebook than on Bible study.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:26,27 (KJB)
In the book of Genesis, God is shown to us in the plural, “let us make man in our image”, and I have always taken that to mean the working of the triune God – Father, Son and Spirit – in the act of creation. But when you get to the New Testament, Paul shows us that it all the credit for creation is given to Jesus Christ in Colossians 1:16 (KJB). Why is that? Because that’s the way the Father wants it. The mystery is this, the Father is not Jesus and Jesus is not the Father – BUT – in the body of Jesus Christ you see the very image of the invisible Father God with your eyes.
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:” Colossians 1:13-15 (KJB)
It is not that our estimation of Jesus Christ is too much, it is that your estimation of Jesus Christ is far too little, too weak, pusillanimous even you might say. Oneness, modalism, lions and tigers and bears, oh my!! Have you not read in Moses that the LORD is God and that He is the Rock of our faith? LORD is all caps is Jehovah, God the Father as revealed in the Old Testament. So how is it then, in the New Testament, we find out that Jesus, the only begotten Son, is the LORD our God? What happened to the Father? Now, if the water has suddenly gotten too deep for you, feel free to click away from this article and go watch some more kitten videos on You Tube.
“Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” Deuteronomy 32:3,4 (KJB)
“And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:4 (KJB)
All of this is a mystery, I’ll grant you that, but absolutely knowable if you approach it with the eye of faith. The Godhead is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and they can and do exist as separate entities who can and do communicate with each other as separate entities, all under the same roof, so to speak. But if your understanding stops there, you have not gone far enough by half, as the old commercial from the 1970’s said, “but wait, there’s more!!”, and there is, so don’t miss it.
“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJB)
There is a name, that is above all names, including the name of Jehovah, and Jehovah is pleased for it to be so, for in that His Son is glorified and He is glorified. “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:” Now, imagine for a moment, that God appeared to you in a dream tonight while you’re sleeping, and said He would fulfill any one thing you asked of Him. And let’s just say that you used that to ask God to show you the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit so that all three could be seen with your human eyes. So you are taken to a beautiful room, the most peaceful place you’ve ever encountered, and you sit down at the table and wait. The door opens, and in comes Jesus of Nazareth, and sits down across from you. You look into His beautiful face, and what looks back at you? The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Three in one, and one in three, and the one in the middle died for me. That’s Him. Jesus Christ is all of God you will ever see, but in Him is all of God that there is so that works out just fine. That is not Oneness Pentecostalism, that is not modalism, that is Bible doctrine.
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14 (KJB)
In closing, let me just say that the Bible is all about Jesus Christ, from cover to cover, and it is impossible to give Him more credit than He deserves. Here at NTEB, we believe in the Bible doctrine of the Godhead, that is to say that God is composed of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that all of the Godhead, according to the scriptures we have listed here and about 200 more besides that, clearly shows that in Jesus Christ, all of the fulness of the Godhead dwells bodily. So what’s it gonna be for you? More kitten videos on YouTube, or some 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJB)? Pick one.

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.
But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 15,860+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 150,000+ followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,900 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13 (KJB)
