Surge Summary: President Joe Biden has a lengthy history of speaking untruths. Herein are a number of examples.

The following is a list of Joe Biden’s lies.
- He claimed that his first wife Neilia and daughter Naomi were killed in a car wreck via a drunk driver, when in fact Neilia was responsible for the accident when she pulled out in front of an oncoming tractor-trailer. Nor was Curtis C. Dunn, the driver of the tractor-trailer, drunk. For years Biden kept repeating this false story (perhaps to gain the sympathy of the public) until Dunn’s daughter Pamela Hamill sent him a letter demanding an apology, which he did soon afterward. I’m surprised Dunn or Hamill didn’t sue Biden for slander.
- During his first run for the Presidency in 1987, it was revealed that he plagiarized while attending law school at Syracuse University. He also plagiarized speeches by Robert Kennedy and British political leader Neil Kinnock. As a result, he abandoned his presidential campaign.
- In September 2008, Biden claimed that during a fact-finding trip in Afghanistan, the helicopter he was in had been forced down. It turns out he was in a plane (not a helicopter) which was forced to land due to a snowstorm.
- In August 2019, Biden claimed that while serving as Vice-President in 2008, he went to Afghanistan to award a Silver Star to a Navy Captain who had ventured into a ravine in order to retrieve the body of a slain American soldier. First, Biden was a Senator at the time and not Vice-President. Second, it was not a Navy Captain, but an Army Specialist named Kyle J. White who had retrieved the body. Third, it’s highly unlikely a Navy Captain would be sent to retrieve the body of a slain soldier. Fourth, Biden never pinned a Silver Star or any other award on White. Fifth, White received the Medal of Honor for his heroics by Barack Obama at a ceremony in 2014, of which Biden was in attendance.
- In February 2020, Biden said he negotiated the Paris Climate Accord with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, who actually died in 1997.
- In February 2020, Biden claimed that in 1977, he was arrested in South Africa while attempting to visit Nelson Mandela in prison, a story refuted by Andrew Young (who was U.S. Ambassador to the UN at the time).
- In February 2021, Biden said there were no COVID-19 vaccinations available when he took office.
- In September 2021, Biden claimed he visited the Tree of Life Synagogue after a mass shooting took place there in October 2018, a claim refuted by the synagogue’s executive director.
- In December 2021, Biden said he had served as a liaison between Israel and Egypt during the Six-Day War of 1967, and that he met Gold Meir. However, Meir was not the Prime Minister of Israel at that time, and Biden was still in law school (and thus not a liaison). In fact, Biden actually met Meir in 1973.
- Biden says his son Beau died while serving in Iraq, when in fact Beau died at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center of brain cancer in 2015 — six years after returning from Iraq.
- Biden says he visited Ground Zero the day after 9/11, when in fact he actually visited the site nine days later.
- Biden claimed he taught political theory at the University of Pennsylvania when in fact he was only an honorary professor there.
- He claims that while as a teenager he witnessed a gay couple kissing each other in public — an unlikely story since homosexuality was frowned on at the time.
Why did he make up all these stories? It is because he’s becoming senile? Or is he trying to spice things up?
Odds are he will not be re-elected — if he does decide to run for re-election.
