Christian teen Baylee Holbrook died in a tragic lightning strike but her death sparked revival at her Palatka High School as hundreds profess faith in Jesus Christ
Last month, I heard the tragic news about a local high school Christian teen Baylee Holbrooke and her father Matt who were deer hunting together when lightning struck. Both were rendered unconscious, the father revived but Baylee did not. Her dad immediately called 911 and Baylee was rushed into surgery. Hundreds rallied around her, fervently praying for a miracle recovery. But God had other plans, and in the blink of an eye, she was with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Just don’t say their prayers weren’t answered, because what happened next will make you cry tears of joy.
“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:6-8 (KJB)
You see, Baylee Holbrook by all accounts was a strong believer in the Lord who lived her faith. People knew where she stood, she was not ashamed of Jesus. “She was the one on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings that was texting her peers here at the school, her peers, her loved ones: ‘Hey, hope to see you at church,’ hope to see you there because she always wanted to see people be better than who they were,” said Pastor Willie McKinnon. “And her main goal was to make sure they had every opportunity to accept Jesus Christ into their heart.”
A memorial service was held, the gospel was preached, and revival fires started to spread throughout the entire student body, the teachers, then to family and friends. Nearly 200 people came forward to pray to get saved, including some already saved but on the sidelines walking the aisle to rededicate themselves to the Lord. This Sunday, Trinity Baptist Church is holding a Community Baptism at the Palatka Riverfront.
Today I got the call, could we supply Bibles for nearly 200 people by Friday? You better believe we can.

Tomorrow, Lori and I will be driving 100 Bibles over to Trinity Baptist in Palatka, with another 200 Bibles being shipped to them on Friday. If you would like to help with the cost of that, just click the link to donate now. We can only do things like this with all y’all’s prayers and generous financial support. Most of all, please pray for the baptisms that will take place this Sunday, and for the hundreds of people who have made a profession of faith or rededicated. Pray that every one of these Bibles we are sending them will bear fruit, more fruit and much fruit for the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you so very much!

Please continue to pray for us, and for wisdom for me especially, as we continue taking steps to print the NTEB branded King James Bible for our free Bible and Bibles Behind Bars program. It is exciting and intimidating at the same time. If the Lord has prospered your financially, we ask you to donate to help us continue to send out free Bibles at this level, and even higher than we are at the moment. It takes a lot of prayer, and a lot of resources to do all this. Praise the Lord we are doing it, all of us together, labouring in the Lord’s harvest field. TO THE FIGHT!!!
When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. We have a Gospel Billboard program. We are now broadcasting Bible studies, Podcasts and a Sunday Service 5 times a week, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.
But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. The Lord has given us an open door with a tremendous ‘course’ for us to fulfill that will create an excellent experience at the Judgement Seat of Christ. Please pray for our efforts, and if the Lord leads you to donate, be as generous as possible. The war is REAL, the battle HOT and the time is SHORT…TO THE FIGHT!!!
