(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – Not everybody is buying the lies being sold by Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats regarding the Jan 6. Capitol riot.
Pelosi has established her sham Jan. 6 committee, making sure to exclude anyone who might buck against their lies, but it’s become pretty clear it’s nothing more than a partisan exercise in controlling the narrative and, as usual, attacking President Trump and his supporters.
On Wednesday, the National Police Association, via spokeswoman Betsy Brantner Smith, slammed Pelosi and her committee, calling it a politically motivated “dog and pony show” that has no intention of getting to the truth surrounding Jan. 6.
Brantner Smith criticized the investigation during an interview on Fox News, while also pointing out that the majority of Americans actually want an investigation into the riots of 2020 spurred by the death of George of Floyd.
During the 2020 riots, thousands of police officers were injured while on the job yet their stories are being ignored by Congress.
“People need to see that police officers go through horrible things, and Jan. 6 was a horrible thing for some of those officers,” she said. “But, quite frankly, I find this whole Jan. 6 Commission, frankly, a dog and pony show. It doesn’t tell the whole story.”
She noted that while she watched the testimonies of the four politically selected Capitol officers earlier this week she wondered, “where are the police officers who appeared – appeared – to let some of the protesters in?”
Brantner Smith also questioned, “Where is the police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt? In fact, why aren’t we talking about Ashli Babbitt? I mean there’s so much more here.”
She also pointed out that millions of fellow Americans are asking the same questions. Yet, Pelosi, the Democrats and Trump-hating RINOs are determined to shove the Jan. 6 incident down Americans’ throats for the sole purpose of demonizing conservatives.
Brantner Smith noted that “more than 2,000” men and women in law enforcement were injured during the violent riots of 2020 and that the American people deserve to hear their stories.
She cited a poll last week by the NPA and Rasmussen Reports that found 66% of likely U.S. voters think Congress should investigate the riots spurred by Floyd’s murder last May.
“I want the American public to hear about that,” Brantner Smith told Fox News. “And based on our survey, the American public wants to hear about that. They want to hear the testimony. You know, we have a Las Vegas police officer who is still paralyzed from the Black Lives Matter riots. We have thousands of police officers around the country who are retiring because of post-traumatic stress because of the riots.”
The violence of the Capitol “riot” is completely non-existent when held in comparison to what went on in the streets of American cities all across the country last year.
While Congress members feign tears and PTSD and their carefully selected politically-motivated Capitol officers give faux credibility to the entire charade, for thousands of police officers around the US the lasting mental and emotional damage from the 2020 riots is very real and demands the attention of Congress.
“The 2020 riots, we can’t just say the whole George Floyd thing was bad and that’s what cops have to deal with and then watch these four weeping men talk about their experiences, ignoring thousands and thousands of police officers, ignoring their feelings and their experiences and their injuries,” she said.
She’s exactly right and we can only hope that GOP members of Congress step up to the plate and form their own committee and investigate the 2020 riots.
