Surge Summary: Social Media figure Tucker Carlson recently apologized to the people of Hungary of America’s “disgusting” pro-LGBTQ imperialism in Hungary. He endorsed the viewpoint that nations can – and should be — fair but also not “value neutral”. That approach is under attack in Western Civilization.

Tucker Carlson recently spoke at the MCC Feszt* in historic Esztergom, Hungary. The beautiful city situated on the banks of the Danube River was the capital of Hungary from the 10th until the mid-13th century. The festival identifies this distinctively Christian nation as “ideologically Independent but Not Value-Neutral.”
Carlson began his remarks by apologizing to the Hungarian government for the United States’ behavior, lack of diplomacy, and cultural imperialism thrust on it by the Biden Administration’s homosexual Ambassador to Hungary, David Pressman. The gay ‘rights’ activist lawyer arrived lecturing the Hungarian government on homosexual prerogatives.
The primary duty of an ambassador is to maintain diplomatic relations with the receiving state and promote foreign policy strategies through international organizations, “not hector other nations for its own sake,” admonished Carlson. “To show up in someone else’s country and scream at them because they’re different from you – I’m not in the habit of apologizing for the United States, in fact, I don’t think I ever have – but the behavior of the American ambassador to Hungary makes me want to apologize.”
“It’s disgusting and inexcusable,” he upbraided, “and so for a creep like David Pressman, who is not a diplomat – who’s a political activist and Biden donor – to show up in your country and lecture you about your culture, and threaten you because you do things differently from the way they do things where he lives … is a grave embarrassment to me as an American, and an outrage to me as someone who pays his salary.
“It’s disgusting … bizarre sex politics, trying to push them on Hungarians for no reason that benefits American national security or economy. It is not American in any way. So, in brief, I want to say I’m sorry.” twitter.com/i/status/1695254001791406210
Kicking off Budapest Pride Month in June, Ambassador Pressman snootily announced: “What an honor it is to stand before you today as the Ambassador of the United States – alongside my partner Daniel, having just celebrated our 22nd anniversary – to applaud your bravery, recognize your achievements, reflect on the challenges ahead, and reaffirm the United States support for your efforts to advance human dignity and the fundamental human rights of all Hungarians. And, of course, to also wish you a very Happy Pride.”1
God created two sexes, male and female. There are bulls and heifers, stallions and mares, men and women. This is incontrovertible biblical truth. Genesis 1:27 reads: “God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.” That men cannot have babies is an indisputable biological fact. Biological sex is absolute and binary. The idea that it can be changed at will or by simple declaration is the height of absurdity, as if it were something like a piece of clothing that can be taken off or put on.
American Christendom’s present submission to the cult of State is the utter sellout of the persecuted men and women who founded this once biblically-based nation. Partly or wholly due to this there is ample evidence that the nation is fast-forwarding towards totalitarianism, the complete and unrestricted power of the State. The State’s multifarious endeavors to assert total control over the lives of its citizens are hard to overlook, as manifested by unprecedented lockdowns; illegal interference in church services; despotic Covid censorship, edicts, and outlawing of singing in church; heavy-handed impediment of civil liberties; all-out assault on First Amendment rights by Big Tech, Big Pharma, and Big Media; capitulation to secular supremacy lording over public education; slaughter of unborn babies; and SCOTUS secular hierarchs’ fly-by-night redefinition of marriage and family.
The notion of the State as religiously neutral is a dreadful and misleading falsehood, spawned by the unenlightened Christian embrace of a fractional Gospel that lacks the “rigor, theological depth, and cultural scope of application for the Word” it possessed amongst the early American founders.2
It is truly tragic to see the present-day Church focusing solely on attendance, holdings and portfolios as criteria for successful ministry, while the culture in the meantime is in steep decline. It would seem that contemporary eschatology promotes a fractional Gospel: Worry not, Jesus is coming back to save us from the bad decisions we the guilty ushered in as a result of poor theology.
Victor Davis Hanson observes in his highly informative 8-minute video: “The revolution that America is in the midst of is holistic. It’s not a political revolution like 1776, it’s more like the French Revolution of 1789; or really close to Mao’s second revolution. That is, it’s not about Trump and conservatives or Biden and Democrats, it’s not about do you want to spend this amount of money or that amount, it’s that, but it’s more than that. It spans every aspect of our being.
“I’m not a fan of Bill Maher, but man, he’s saying it like it is – I can’t believe it. And Matt Taibbi has attacked me, [but] he’s saying it like it is. I was always a fan of Megyn Kelly, but I never associated Megyn Kelly with just anger at the nonsense, but she just says it like it is [and] she’s had it. … We really need people to speak out.” www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKEEawWci7g
“Religious leaders,” wrote A.W. Tozer in God and Men, “who continue mechanically to expound the Scriptures without regard to the current religious situation are no better than the scribes and lawyers of Jesus’ day who faithfully parroted the Law without the remotest notion of what was going on around them spiritually.”
But thanks be to God, Gideons and Rahabs are beginning to stand. One of them is North Carolina pastor Allen Mashburn, who just announced his candidacy for North Carolina Lt. Governor 2024. Eric Metaxas interviewed him: www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2BH3PNaGeU
“Behold, there is a cloud as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!”
